Service That Shows Up
Where You Live

We don’t do lip service—we do front porch service.

At Operation Honor: Rural Salute™, we live by one simple truth: “Honor with action, serve with heart.” That means rolling up our sleeves, showing up in the places others overlook, and delivering support that actually works for rural veterans and their families.

In 2026, we’re turning up the volume. We’re bringing boots-on-the-ground events to four states, launching AI-powered and telehealth care that doesn’t require a three-hour drive, and tightening our partnerships with the local folks you already trust—Legion halls, hospitals, churches, and neighbors who’ve got your six.

We’re not just serving rural communities—we’re standing shoulder-to-shoulder with them. Real Help. Real Places. Rural Strong.

Not Your Average
Vet Event

Let’s be real—rural veterans deserve more than a flyer and a half-day road trip to a stiff ballroom. Over 4.4 million of them live in rural America, yet 60% say they don’t feel truly seen or connected by existing events

That stops in 2026.

We’re doubling down, bringing Operation Honor: Rural Salute™ to four states—and we’re doing it right where home is.

What’s rolling in:

  • VA, American Legion & VFW booths right beside the pie-eating contests—because getting info shouldn’t feel like decoding military intel.

  • Health check-ins & mental wellness kiosks—straightforward, discreet, no red-tape detours.

  • Real hometown fun—live music, kids’ crafts, cornhole, and more.

Our mission? Boost rural vet turnout by 60%, drop the “Nobody told me” excuses, and bring the salute right to your zip code—because honoring service starts at home, plain and simple.

On-Demand AI Mental Health Support

Out here in rural America, when something’s wrong, we’re told to "just deal with it"—but that mindset is costing lives. Rural veterans are 65% more likely to die by suicide than those in urban areas and 70% less likely to receive timely mental health care. And let’s be real: waiting two weeks for a counselor while stress stacks up like unpaid bills? That’s about as helpful as shouting into a windstorm and expecting it to listen.

That’s why in 2026, Operation Honor: Rural Salute™ is cutting the wait and cutting through the noise with on-demand AI mental health support—designed for when you need it, not when the next appointment opens.

Here’s what we’re rolling out:

  • Partnering with a 24/7 AI-based wellness companion—private, judgment-free, and always on. Chat anytime the weight gets heavy or the silence feels loud.

  • Instant tools for coping, calming, and crisis triage—plus seamless connection to live professionals when you need more than just a virtual ear.

Our goal? Cut average response time by 30% and get ahead of the spiral before it takes root. Because mental health support shouldn’t be miles—or weeks—away. It should be right here, right now, and built for the way rural veterans live.

Skip the Road Trip, Get the Doc

For too many rural veterans, a basic check-up feels like planning a cross-country haul—long drives, lost time, and a whole lot of gas money. Sure, telehealth is a great idea on paper, but nearly 42% of rural households don’t have reliable broadband, which makes “click to connect” more like “buffer and hope.”

In 2026, Operation Honor: Rural Salute™ is meeting the moment (and the mileage) by launching a Tele-Med Pilot in Central Pennsylvania and Northeast North Carolina. We're bringing care closer—without the travel headaches or endless "Recalculating..." GPS reroutes.

Here’s how we’re doing it:

  • Installing telehealth stations right where veterans already gather—inside American Legion halls and local hospitals.

  • Offering virtual primary care and behavioral health visits—quick enough to fit on a lunch break, effective enough to count.

  • Coordinating labs, prescriptions, and follow-ups with trusted local providers, so no vet has to drive across counties for answers.

Our success markers? A 25% cut in travel time and 85%+ satisfaction from those using the service. Because health care shouldn’t mean hitting the road—it should mean hitting back to life, faster.

It Takes a Village

(Turned Into a Porch Party)

Rural veterans carry a lot—and so do their families. Many are older, facing more complex medical issues, and a disproportionate number live on less than $35,000 a year. The reality?

They're navigating serious needs with fewer resources, and too often, families are left to figure it out alone. But just like back home, when one person’s struggling, the whole porch shows up. That’s how we do it—and how we’re building our next wave of support.

In 2026, Operation Honor: Rural Salute™ is expanding its family-first resources with smart, easy-to-use tools designed for real life—not red tape.

Here’s what’s coming:

  • The Rural Salute Resource Portal—a mobile-friendly hub with everything from job training and education to legal assistance and VA help, all in one place.

  • Family programs that make connection easy and fun: homesteading webinars, the ins and outs of VA loans, and alternative careers that are profitable in rural America (and no it is not an MLM.)

  • Peer mentor matchups that go beyond “support groups”—veterans paired by era, interests, and lived experience, so the help actually hits home.

Expected outcomes? A 50% increase in family usage of our resource portal and peer mentor satisfaction ratings of 4.8 out of 5. Because it’s not just about serving veterans—it’s about lifting the whole household, one front porch at a time.

Honor doesn’t sit still—and neither do we.
